Under the direction of Prof. Dr. Cengiz YÜCEDAĞ, a faculty member of the Department of Landscape Architecture, the Hackathon event was successfully conducted within the scope of the international project COST Action CA23148 – “European Network for the Integrative Approach of Urban Forestry (INTUF)”.

The event, held between October 6-10, 2025, in Novi Sad, Serbia, provided an intensive academic interaction environment with the participation of 20 experts from different European countries. Within the scope of the project, 300 urban forest management plans collected from across Europe were analyzed using thematic analysis methods. Participants had the opportunity to gain practical experience in thematic analysis and data interpretation processes throughout the event.

The outcomes of the event hold great academic significance: The data obtained during the Hackathon process is planned to be published as a scientific article in a high-impact international journal by the end of December 2025.

Prof. Dr. Yücedağ also serves as a Management Committee Member and WG2 (Working Group 2) Leader of the project. During the Core Group meeting held simultaneously with the Hackathon event, the activities and report of the project's 1st grant period were evaluated; the planned works and budget details for the 2nd grant period were discussed.
